Named it this because that's what happened to my original plans. This was suppose to be near the Oregon Butte Lookout Station. Arrived for the 3-mile hike in on 6/21/03 to 31 degrees, heavy clouds, strong wind with snow - almost whiteout conditions. Didn't have all the right clothing, but started out anyway. After about what I estimate to be about a mile to mile and a half, finally gave up. Planted the cache in the snow and got out of there. However, I believe it may be a beautiful spot with great view and possible view of lookout tower as well. Only the next person in will know for sure. It's a large peanut jar with blue lid with lots of goodies - including Wendy TB. Had never been here before, but great area.
