The River Trail a 10-mile trail that is being developed between the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center and The Dalles Dam.
** The container is now a small tupperware with a red lid. There is a new piece of the trail at this time! We are so excited, I guess the official opening date is June 25th, but shhhhh we’ve been biking and walking the trail for a month now. This means that the trail is now open from the boat basin to the Discovery Center! It is a great place for the family your dog and even the kids for a nice leisurely walk along the mighty and beautiful Columbia River. The cache is a small eye glass container. One of our favorite things to hide! We don’t want you to have to pack a heavy back pack full of things to trade so we have made these caches a series of mini caches…not quite micros because there are small trading items inside. Drop a few small trinkets into your pockets and just go for a walk, a ride, a run or a hike.This series of caches is designed to give you a reason to get down onto the walking, jogging, biking trail and enjoy the view of the water and wild life! We have 6 caches in place along short stretches of the walkway that are accessible with possibly a few more on the way! Have some fun! Remember to take water because it does get really hot out there! And who knows? You might just run into us “Along the Trail”Aliens abound along this trail, so be very careful when hunting the cache! It is out in the open! Not many hiding places along this piece of the trail! Hide it well!
