This CACHE is the ONLY one of
"Opa's Sudoku Cache" series which is at the COORDINATES listed on
this page. All the other ones can only be found if you solve the
previous stage.
Welcome to a fun filled search for
Opa's Sudoku Cache. This is the first cache in a series of 10 total
caches with the last one being
Opa's Sudoku Cache. You will have to find 9 independent caches
before you will be able to solve for the location of the last
cache.
The good thing is you will be able to log a find for every stage of
this cache and can stop at any time and restart another day if you
run out of time.
You will
find yourself discovering your GPS-Receiver all over
again.
If you
are not very familiar with the operation of it, it might be a good
idea to bring along the manual, as there will be situations where
you will dig in deep into the realm of coordinate systems their
origins, and their conversions.
This cache series which will take you on a hunt through the Holly
Springs National Forrest within Lafayette County.
You might want to schedule a few hours for this. This series is
definitely not a park and grab. It can be a very fun afternoon
series to go caching with children. The terrain rating for the
individual caches in the series reflect the D/T ratings of those
caches, the one for Opa’s Sudoku Cache has a higher rating as
it is a cumulative effort to find the clues and solve the mystery
of the final location of this cache.
IMPORTANT:
At each stage you need
to recover the proper information so you can solve the mystery of
the location of
Opa's Sudoku
Cache.
In each
of the individual OSC caches, you will find a clue where to find
the next cache in your quest and how to solve the mystery of the
final cache loaction.
Take very
good notes and be observant. It might help to bring a small digital
camera to take a picture of the clue.
PLEASE DO
NOT REMOVE THE CLUE from the
cache.
If
anything looks missing, please call or email me. You will find the life-line in the
cache container. Feel free to confirm an idea you might have for
any of the stages.
Remember
Without
ALL of the clues you cannot solve the final
cache.
A small
notepad or some general writing utensils are necessary to be taken
on your journey.
Take detailed notes of your finds. It might help to take a digital
camera along to document your findings. If you fail to do observe
all the clues, you might see yourself retracing your steps to
retrieve the necessary information.
