Geocache Description:

This cache will take you into Lake Ontario to the Toronto Islands. The cache is located on the Eastern edge of Centre Island better know as Ward's Island to the locals. The cache is a part of the series, “Around Toronto - Exploring the City” (GC2MAV5), a mystery cache whose coordinates are found in 4 traditional caches located at famous Toronto sites. The required coordinate is located at the top of the logbook.

Toronto Island is really an escape from the big city. It is a completely different world, full of beautiful sights, activities and interesting people. Be sure to take the time to explore all the island has to offer. It is a great place to spend the day and has something for everyone to enjoy especially in the warmer months.

To access the island you will need to take the ferry. You can go the area the cache is hidden directly by taking the Ward's Island ferry but if you are up for a walk and want to explore the area you can choose to take the ferry to Centre Island then walk over. The schedules, fees and dock location can be found here: (visit link)

Be sure to respect the local residents and natural landscape of the area. The cache is a camouflaged container that can fit small items. You do not need to climb on the rocks to find the cache! It is on the ground and not beyond the water line. Replace exactly as found and bring your own writing utensil.
