This is located near the 4100 ft level on Tonga Ridge with a beautiful view. You are looking for a Rubbermaid 7x7inch container.
After scoring my 300th find up the road at Mt Sawyer on a fantastic sunny day I decided to hide a cache at a favorite camping/viewpoint spot in this area. There are now 3 caches up here and this should be an easy one. Drive Hy 2 and take the turnoff to Foss River Rd. east of Skykomish near the Ranger Station. The Tonga Ridge Rd. is a left hand turn off on 68 marked as road 6830. It is an excellent smooth gravel road climbing 3-4 miles to the right hand turn marked as 301. Go about 1 mile and on your right take the second side spur road that cuts back sharply. If you are at all afraid of dirt roads or have a low clearance car you might want to park here. SUV or truck won't have any problem making it very close to the cache. It's a very short walk of about 1/4 mile if you park on the main road. There are 2 water bars dug across the road near the cache, so even in a SUV you might want to park at the top and walk from there. It will only be about 200 ft. from here. Or just say to heck with it and use your SUV or 4x4 like it was meant to be used and drive all the way to the cache. The road is getting a bit over grown, so take my last sentence with a bit of caution. There's some nice camping spots in this area that don't see much use. There is a very nice view from the cache site, so if you have a sunny day bring a lunch and enjoy. Sunsets can be awsome! This area is open to xmas tree cutting latter in the Fall, so pick out a good one and grab a cache. P.S, you will get very close to the cache on the main road on the way up. If you want to make this a 4-5 in terrain then bushwack uphill from here. Do this in the rain and make it really fun!....
