Bokkedoorn.
Het ‘Wethouder Geluk Park’ waar de cache zich bevindt, is een stuk duin waar in een duinmeertje ligt dat ‘De Bokkedoorn’ word genoemd. Veel mensen uit de omgeving weten dat het er is maar weinigen zijn er ook daadwerkelijk geweest. Dit is iets wat mij altijd heeft verbaasd, het is werkelijk een prachtig natuurgebied waar het heerlijk wandelen is, de vele vogels te bekijken en de hond uitlaten. Het is een van de zeldzame plekken in de duinen waar honden uitlaten nog mag, maar nogmaals, het is een rustig en schoon gebied, respecteer dat!
Het is hier toegestaan de paden te verlaten om een beetje te ‘struinen’ en in dit geval is dat ook noodzakelijk. Met kinderwagens is deze is deze cache dan ook niet geschikt. Als je slecht ter been bent kan je er misschien ook beter niet aan beginnen.
Belangrijke duinregel: Het is niet toegestaan vóór zonsopgang en ná zonsondergang daar te zijn!
De fiets of auto kan je (gratis) parkeren op het parkeerterrein , als je vanaf de Zeeweg het terrein op rijdt een paar meter verder rechts, of anders aan de Zeeweg zelf, daar is aan de overkant nog een parkeerterrein
Mocht je na het cachen nog wat willen eten of drinken, er is een restaurant ‘De Bokkedoorn’ (hoe toepasselijk) maar vraag eerst wat het kost, de prijzen zijn erg hoog daar!
Om deze cache te vinden is het noodzakelijk dat je goed met de GPS overweg kunt. Ook is helder zicht, dus niet mistig, ook nodig.
WP1: N52 23.910 E004 34.051 Ga hier het pad op. Vind eerst de aanwijzing ongeveer 7 meter vanaf WP1 en vervolg vervolgens dit pad naar WP2.
De aanwijzing is twee getallen, getal A en getal B
WP2:N52 23.866 E004 34.197 Hiervoor moet je de trap op naar de uitkijkplek.
Kijk nu eens om je heen en geniet van het uitzicht. Je ziet veel natuurschoon en in de verte een grote boom die ver boven de anderen uitsteekt! Bepaal nu met je gps-kompas het aantal graden daar naar toe (peiling). Het beste doe je dat door een stukje achteruit te lopen en dan, over het tweede paaltje (het nulpunt) heen te peilen naar de bewuste boom. Dus zo dat je zowel je GPS Het Paaltje en de Boom in één lijn hebt.
(Dit kan je trouwens ook met een ander soort kompas doen).
Om het coördinaat voor de volgende aanwijzing te vinden trek je van het op deze manier gevonden aantal graden het getal B af en je hebt nu de nieuwe graden. Verder is het getal A het aantal meters daar naar toe. Met deze twee gegevens kan je nu het volgende coördinaat bepalen. (projectie)
WP3: Zoek een aanwijzing, (alleen het dekseltje er af halen a.u.b. en blijf vooral aan deze kant van de afrastering, gevaarlijk!)
Dit zijn opnieuw twee getallen, Getallen D en E. De volgende aanwijzing ligt E meters hier vandaan (dus wp3). en D meters vanaf WP2
(Het is misschien slim om hier het coord van WP3 voor de zekerheid nog nog even te markeren zo dat je zeker weet dat die klopt.)
Ik zou zo zeggen, zoek het pad weer op en vervolg de wandeling en vindt
WP 4: de volgende aanwijzing.

The ‘Wethouder Geluk Park’, where this cache is located, is a part of the dunes where a lake is situated. This lake is called ‘The Bokkedoorn’. Most people in the neighbourhood know it’s there, but few have actually been there. This is something that has always surprised me, it really is a beautiful nature reserve, where you can take lovely walks, look at the many birds and walk your dog. It is one of the rare places in the dunes where dog walking is still allowed, but again, it’s a quiet and clean area, please respect that!
An important dune-rule: It is not allowed to enter the area before sunrise or after sunset! Your bike or car can be parked (for free) at the car park. When you arrive at the area from the Zeeweg, it’s a few meters further on the right, or else at the Zeeweg itself, where there is a car park on the opposite side of that road.
To find this cache, it is absolutely necessary that you can handle the GPS correctly. Also, a clear sight (so no fog), is pleasant.
Walk clockwise around the lake to…
WP1: N52 23.910 E004 34.051. Go the pathway. Find the first clue approximately 7 metres from WP1 and continue this pathway to WP2.
The clue is two numbers, number A and number B
WP2:N52 23.866 E004 34.197. You have to take the stairs to the lookout place. Now look around you and enjoy the view. You will see lots of beautiful nature and in the distance a big tree sticking far above the rest! With your GPS – compass you will now have to determine the number of degrees towards that (level). It is the easiest to do this if you walk a bit to the back and level from the second pole (point zero) to the tree in question. You need to have your GPS, the pole and the tree in a straigth line. (By the way, you can also do this with another kind of compass).
To find the coordinate for the next clue, you subtract the number B from the number of degrees you found here, and you will have the new degrees. Furthermore, the number A is the amount of metres there. With these two data you can determine the next coordinate
WP3: Find a clue (please do stay on this side of the grating, dangerous!) Again, these are two numbers, number D and E. You will find the next clue is located E metres from here, and D metres from WP2. (It might be smart to denote the coordinate of WP3 here, so you are sure you know this is correct.)
And now I’d say, continue the walk and find…
