Inauguré le 6 juin 1988 par François Mitterrand, Le Mémorial de Caen est le musée de référence sur l’histoire du XXe siècle. À partir d’une scénographie innovante et chargée d’émotion, cette Cité de l’Histoire pour la Paix propose un voyage historique et une réflexion sur l’avenir à travers trois principaux espaces muséographiques : les tensions internationales et la Seconde Guerre mondiale, la Guerre froide ainsi que le thème de la paix. Outre sa mission historique, Le Mémorial de Caen s’attache à démontrer la fragilité et les exigences de la Paix et des Droits de l’Homme.

Le Parc regroupe des jardins et des lieux de commémoration dédiés à la mémoire des résistants et des soldats alliés morts en Normandie. Promenez-vous dans le Jardin américain, le Jardin canadien et le Jardin britannique.

Une autre cache est situee non loin de la, a la colline aux oiseaux, placee par nous egalement. Jetez-y un coup d'oeil, les jardins fleurits et la vue sont magnifique !

The cache is situated in the gardens of the Memorial, but are accesible 24/7 by the back entrance on the right side of the museum near “La colline aux oiseaux”

Inaugurated on June 6, 1988 by François Mitterrand, Le Mémorial de Caen is a major modern museum dedicated to the history of the 20th Century. Its innovative and emotionally charged presentation invites the visitors to take a journey through history and a consideration of the planet's future in three museum spaces : the Second World War, the Cold War and the theme of Peace. Le Mémorial de Caen definitely incites the visitors to consider the fragility of Peace and Human Rights.

The Park includes gardens and places of commemoration dedicated to the memory of the Resistance fighters and of the Allied soldiers killed in Normandy. Have a walk in the American Garden, the Canadian Garden and the British Garden.

There is a nearby cache in the beautiful flower garden "La colline aux oiseaux" placed by us as well. Go find it ! The vue is great as well
