Located off the Overlook Rock Trail in Kanawha State Forest near
Charleston, West Virginia.
The theme of this cache is books. The only items in the cache are
paperback books, all of which have been registered at
www.bookcrossing.com. We would like to see the theme repeated, so
please only place other books in the cache. If you take a book,
please make a journal entry on the book at www.bookcrossing.com,
then when you finish reading it, release it in another cache. If
you don't want to leave a book, feel free to visit the cache
anyway, and take a book to read, but please make a journal entry on
the book at the web page.
The cache location will be pretty obvious when you get there.
There is a moderate elevation change from the road to the top of
the mountain on Overlook Rock Trail, just follow the yellow blazes.

Found this with my nephews and niece. Ages 2,3, and 4. Learned a lesson not to start up the hill 30 minutes before dark (with 3 younguns). It was quite interesting coming down. Since it started out as a hike and not a cacheing trip, we did not have books with us. I had my cell phone and decided to use it to see if we were near a cahce. We took a new testament, domino, and laminated card. All we had to leave was a bandaid and some pocket change. (sorry) This was their 1st time finding a cache and they loved it. TFTC.

Found today with a friend who doesn't geocache. This may have sparked an interest. Found with no problem. Cache is full of books. I swapped a book called The Bachelor by Carly Phillips, and took Red October. My friend told me it is a really good book about WV. Looking forward to reading it. Nice hike! TFTC.

First of Five today on a cache run in Kanawha State Forest with WVAngler. Hoping to get some Hiking WV miles and grab a few Smilies. Nice cool morning start and out and up we went. Loved the theme of a game within a game, caching and traveling books. Can was VERY full of a variety of paperback books waiting for someone to bring a trade. Great idea! TN LN SL TFTC Pilot J & Crew

First of five caches I hit today in KSF with PilotJ and Crew. It was a beautiful morning to hike and we apparently weren't the only ones as we ran into some other hikers on the trail. They were really nice folks. The overlook rock is pretty cool. Found the cache quickly and TNLN. Since we were trying to get some other KSF caches today we opted to backtrack the same trail instead of making the full loop, but we still ended up getting quite a few miles in today for the WVDNR Hiking Program.
