RAF West Kirby existed between 1940 and 1960 with the final passing out parade taking place on December 20th 1957. A few years ago a small memorial was placed to commemorate all those who served, trained and worked at West Kirby.
Today as we drove past, we noticed that there was now a much larger memorial. It is well worth visiting, and whilst there you can also walk down into the woodland where RAF West Kirby existed. As a tribute we have placed an easy drive-by cache. There is parking next to the memorial, and the cache is not on or behind the memorial.
There isn’t any room for swaps, but we’ve squeezed in a Vermont Geocoin and The Bomb (Eden Camp) TB (seemed appropriate). The FTF certificate is outside the box.
