The Liverpool Beat 1 The Beatles Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

TeamElle: Unfortunately as I am no longer able to maintain this series I have archived it.
It has been quite a popular series and the locations are still worth visiting even without the caches.
Thanks to all those who have visited.
Colin

Geocache Description:

The Liverpool Beat caches are a series located in public parks in the Liverpool area to honour the Liverpool music scene. Sefton Park is well worth a walk around if you have time, particularly the Palm House

The cache is a micro in a cammo bag. It contains part of a code to enable you to work out the co-ordinates for the final cache of this series. Depending on which order you find the caches, you may or may not need to complete them all to find the final cache. The codes are in Liverpool Beat 1 - 5 caches and consist of letters and numbers printed on the front of the logbook, which together will give the co-ordinates for the final cache, "The Liverpool Beat 6, The Merseybeats"

The Beatles were formed in 1957 when John Lennon and Paul McCartney formed a group called the Quarrymen, by 1960 they had changed their name to the Beatles. In 1962 they released Love Me Do which reached no.17 in the charts. Their next single Please, Please Me went to no.1 and was followed by 17 other number one hits as well as many others in the top 20. The Beatles had 39 top 40 hits in the British Chart, including 18 no.1s. Every Beatles album went to no.1 resulting in 1160 weeks in the British album charts.
