It's nearing that time of year again folks!! This event will be held in Black Rock City outside of beautiful Gerlach, NV Thursday, September 2nd at 10 am!
The above coordinates will take you to the Black Rock Desert, however, not to the actual site of the event! We will be meeting at 10 am at 6 o'clock and the MAN. With that in mind, we are burners too and know that keeping track of time and space can be a huge challenge, the Cache & Burn Banner/log book will be hanging on Faith's (Cookie & Faith) motorhome. If you stop by the BRCU (Black Rock Center for Unlearning) and sign the banner anytime during the week, you can claim this event. The BRCU has been placed at 3:00 & Detroit. It's not very often that we get to meet geocachers from all over the place in our neck of the woods. What could be better than a dusty playa in the Nevada desert? I can't think of anywhere I'd much rather be?
At least a couple of us will be wearing tye died T-shirts with Great Basin Eastern Sierra Geocachers in large white writing on the back. We plan on meeting at the man and then making our way back to Camp Geosmached (a subsidiary of the BRCU) for Otter Pops and other yummy breakfast libations!
