Twenty years ago, analog cellular service was offered to rural Kentucky thanks to the vision of five landline phone companies. Not only can you now talk, text, play Angry Birds & Scrabble, watch a movie, refill a prescription, answer email, and download a cigarette lighter for a concert...you can also use your GPS app to geocache.
