Geocache Description:

A colleague doesn't see much value in geocaching. Help me change her mind!

This cache is for a coworker. I have been trying to set up a geocaching group at my school. She is in charge of allocating funds, but had the following thoughts: "What are students really learning? ...I have participated in geocaching and it can send the wrong message because it is a 'greedy' type venture."

I have included a logbook, as usual, which I'll be sharing with her at a later date. I'd love for you to let her know your thoughts! I've included space for you to write what you like about geocaching, what you've learned, and how it could be used in a school.

You're looking for a well-camouflaged tupperware container. As always, beware of muggle houses nearby!

NOTE: The two-week after school class on geocaching went very well, and the "real artifact" made a huge difference in understanding this crazy hobby. I wasn't allowed to take the kids off campus, and it was quite challenging creating and hiding caches on our small campus! As per so many of your logs, I think I'll just give up on that colleague. Her loss. In the meantime, I've gotten several other teachers and students hooked!
