Connecting
different world's together, one world at a time (Whatever that
means!).
You all know the old joke... how did the geocacher get to the
next cache! If by car... they drove, simply put. Now if they are
wondering around by foot, in the old neighborhoods, they would have
to walk all the way around to get to the next cache or bushwhack
through some crazy marshy forest on the edge of a steep cliff,
risking life and limb to get that all important
smiley!
Now with modern times and the
influence of geocachers around the world, it is now possible to
geocache on foot as modern science has created, what we like to
call, the walk thru or short cut! These new super walkways as I
like to call them connect one street, two streets or more together.
I sure wish we had these walkways when I was a kid, I could have
shaved 20 minutes of walking time to school not having to go the
long way around. (And yes it was UPHILL both
ways!)
What I have found since my
geocaching journey has started it that they are popping up
everywhere! Between houses, behind houses, around complexes,
through complexes... they are absolutely everywhere. They
connect to transit, shopping malls, schools, parks, houses and
almost anything else you can think of. Maybe you can share in your
logs, where the craziest walk thru you 've used connect
to?
These caches will all be separate
caches to commemorate this great invention, WALK THRU'S! They will
not be connected in any way (ironic isn't it!), just another in the
vast hidden gems that help speed up our travels. Does anyone actual
take notice of these walk thru's?
I am amazed every time I walk thru
another one, heading for the next closet cache, some of these walk
thru areas are so beautiful, some can be a little dumpy. There is
nothing like walking thru a well landscaped walk
thru.
I will be adding more as I find
them....
The cache is a bison tube, please
re-hide the cache exactly as it is found so it has a great
lifespan!
This is a short walk thru and is
open to the public eye! Stealth may be needed... so good luck
to you all.
You
will need your own writing device for this cache!
Good luck and have
fun!
