This cache is located outside a very small cemetery right on Highway #3, just west of the very small hamlet of Purple Springs. The markers are mostly white metal crosses with no names. The latest date that we could find on the tombstones with writing was 1974. Karen, at the Taber Museum, told us that the records had been lost and that the local residences were trying to find out the names of those buried in the cemetery.
The hamlet of Purple Springs was named after a nearby coulee which was named for the springs and the purple flowers that grow there.
