WATCH FOR BIKES

The plan was for this cache to be located on the cut off trail to the south, but during the hide, I was almost run down by a mountian biker. Figured that many this might be a better location for a quick and safe find. This cache was created by the request of the Major Jarhead's Cache GC1XGY3 that the FTFer place another new cache in Simi Valley.

I stopped here on my bike ride down the Chumash Trail and while I was here I had no fewer than 8 other bicyclist stop and as if I was OK. It was tough to be covert with all the two wheeled traffic on a Sunday morning. Just when you think it was clear another biker would show up and stop to see if I was OK. Finally made the quick grab, signed the log and returned the cache just as the next wave came through. It took over 15 minutes for me to complete this operation. I guess if I was hiking no one would have stopped. Cache is in good condition at this time.

It was a perfect for a hike up this trail, and a few of us came along with Geocraig to celebrate his 5000th find. Now that's a big number.
