The Appalachian and the Virginia Creeper Trails
pass right through Damascus, so it's a wonderful place to have a
geocaching event. We're having a breakfast event at 8:30 AM to
allow folks to enjoy the day once the event concludes. Some may
choose to hike the A.T. and maybe find caches. Some may choose to
bike the VA Creeper Trail and maybe find caches.
The event agenda will include the
following:
1. Sign in and order food
2. Brief intro
3. While food is being prepared, talk about some
of the more interesting features found only in Damascus - the A.T.
completion bricks for example.
4. Sharing and exchanging of pathtags, travel
bugs, and geocoins (completely optional)
5. Eat and chat
6. Conclude event with a group photo outside

For those who wish to bike the Creeper trail,
they can gather post event at N36° 38.109 W81°
47.375. For those who wish to do something else,
don't forget to post your event attended log!

Please post a will attend log if you will attend
the event. In your log, please note whether you will hike the A.T.,
or bike afterwards so we have a count for shuttle needs. If you are
skipping the event, you need to visit the TCG web site for details,
and it would be helpful if you posted a 'note' to the
event.
