Park at Riverfront Park to avoid having to swim to the site. Cache is packed in a small green ammo can. Take the path out to the island. Only a small amount of bushwhacking is required to reach the site.
I have moved the cache to the upriver end of the island in hopes that it will not be pillaged again. The cache is a short walk from the pavilion. The path is in excellent condition and it would be possible to ride a bike nearly all the way to the site. There is an active archeological dig in progress in this area during the summer months. Mr. Bressler, who heads the dig, is very friendly and enjoys talking to people about his project. The island is also the home to a large flock of crows during the early winter months. Look at the photos only if you would like a hint. The first photo was taken while I was heading 260 mag. and the second when heading 310 mag. The third photo is just a shot of Daisy and the loot.
