Geocaching Colorado represents the interests of geocachers
statewide. Most of our members reside along the Front Range, so
that's where we have most of our events. We want to make sure
cachers out west are represented too, so we are planning this event
to meet some of you. We're going to have as many of the board
members present as possible, so the choice of location is partly
based on travel time from Denver.
We're meeting at Sayre "Strawberry" Park in Glenwood
Springs on Saturday, June 2nd.
This meet and greet event is scheduled from 2 to 4pm.
Before and after the event take the time to find the local
caches! There will likely be a group of us going out to dinner then
relaxing at the hot springs just across the freeway.
We have reserved the gazebo in the northeast corner of the park, on
the corner of Highland Park Drive and Blake Street. Parking on the
north side of the park is on park side only and is back-in parking.
No parking on the east side of the park because of a bike path.
No electrical Hook ups. There is a small BBQ grill on site in
case anyone needs it. 4 tables are under the shelter(roof only).
Plenty of grass if you want to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Large
kids playground at our site area. Horseshoe pits and volleyball
also (not sure if equipment is supplied yet or if we need to bring
our own).
We will be raffling off a few items. As with all of our events
the tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. Included in the raffle items
are: one filled cache, 1 2005 Colorado coin and 1 2006 Colorado
coin.
