Geocache Description:

PLEASE NOTE - DO LOOK OUT FOR THE MAN IN THE Land Rover, he said
"he is the shoot organiser, and doesn't like GEOCACHERS"

PLEASE KEEP TO PERMISSIVE PATHS, thank you

Llyn Helyg is a man-made (18th century) lake which is approximately one kilometre in length and is home to the rare aquatic fern Pillwort and Australian swamp stonecrop.
During the Second World War Llyn Helyg was used for amphibious vehicle
training and a slipway was constructed at the north-eastern edge of the lake. The lake is shallow, maximum depth about 1.6 metres, and is man-made having been created by the Mostyn Estate sometime in the 1700s. The lake is now used by Holywell Angling Club who own the fishing rights. Llyn Helyg is surrounded by woodland.

To find this cache, park near the Tab cache (see coordinates) enter the woods via the footpath, which might be muddy following rainfall, and walk about 464' to a Mostyn Estates' public footpath sign (see waypoint), then walk straight on on to GZ.

Then you have to back-track to the other caches or your car!!
Please keep to the permissive footpaths and not cut throught the other paths in the woods, thanks.
