A traditional cache located near the Nebraska/Colorado border south of Kimball, NE.
In the time I have been geocaching I have found way too many "welcome to.." caches and I generally knew exactly where to find them. Near this location are signs for both Nebraska and Colorado but the cache IS NOT ON EITHER SIGN. I named this one 'line of departure' because while I was born in Colorado I live in Nebraska, and they are are far different cultures (we won't even mention Wyoming to the west). A line of departure is where a unit crosses the line into an assault and although not 'attacking', one should be advised one is moving into a different culture than the one being left whether one is going north or south. this is another attempt to break up the monotony of Hwy 71 for geocachers. the cache is a small tube, log only, so bring your own pencil. It may be more difficult to find in the snow.
