On Saturday, May 15 I have volunteered to teach a free Geocaching class for area residents. Please note that the current coordinates are the same as a cache currently in the park.To find where the class is being held, turn into the main parking lot off of County Park Rd. and drive towards the pavilions.
Due to the strong turn out for the Fall 2003 class from Geocachers and local residents who were Geocaching for the first time this class will be a full day event. With classes scheduled for 10am, 1pm, and 3pm. I hope that everyone who attends will be willing to act as a “guide” for people Geocaching for the first time, so the will have an enjoyable experience.
The park is working to have one of pavilions available, which will give everyone a chance to hang out in between hitting local area caches. There will be a grill available for barbecuing.
In addition to the current caches in the park I will be putting out temporary caches.

GEOCACHING: 21st CENTURY TREASURE HUNTING
Geocaching, a global game of treasure hunting using longitude and latitude coordinates, is a fun-filled adventure for all ages! With a GPS receiver and Internet access, you are ready to explore Chester County and beyond to hunt for a “geocache.” Come learn the basics needed to enjoy this eco-friendly sport including suggested equipment, using the website, how to search for a cache, and the opportunity to hunt for caches in Warwick County Park. Water, walking shoes and a basic orienteering compass is recommended. A GPS receiver is suggested but not required.
