Hook, Line, and Sinker Travel Bug Hotel Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

-DeRock-: Greetings,

While Geocaching.com would like to continue to hold the location for you, doing so blocks other cachers from placing caches in the area. We feel that this cache has been out of commission for a period of time exceeding what is reasonable for the area, and thus I regretfully must archive it.

If you are able to get out and replace the cache, simply drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. I will be more than happy to take a look at it to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

Thank you,

-DeRock-

Geocache Description:

This Cache is located in the Loyd A. Stage Nature Center of Troy. Come prepared to walk. The trail varies between wood chips, boardwalk, and dirt (more often mud).

First, I'd like to introduce myself. I'm Shawn; the Sha of ShaBin. Bin is my fiance, Robin. We are getting married in Troy on April 25, 2009.

Immediately following the wedding, we will head out on a number of road trips and we are planning to cache along the way.

We thought, 'wouldn't it be cool to leave a trail of Travel Bugs and Geocoins along the way'!

So we started collecting them and within a few days, we had a large handful of TBs and coins. Realizing we would have to sit on a mound of loot that is supposed to be moving around...and we know the rules...we needed to come up with another plan...

So this cache is our solution.

It is a Travel Bug/Geocoin motel. TBs chill here until we head out on our first wedded adventures and send them on their way. We will be traveling approximately 3,000 miles between May and June 2009.

If you can find the final cache, please leave a TB. We will at least get them out of Michigan, or to a desired location if you wish!

Loyd A. Stage Nature Center:

This is the first cache to be placed at this park. Please follow all posted signs and the requests of any park staff/volunteers.

*** Stages are never more than 15 feet off the trail. Please stay on trails as much as possible.***

We had less than 20ft accuracy at every stage.

We traveled this entire park in about 2 hours with two little kids in a stroller. It was challenging in some spots (steep incline, muddy trails, 'a bumpy ride') but we made it, and so can you. We did a picnic lunch before the final stage, and it was lovely.

Bring drinking water, as there are no potable sources away from the Visitors Center.

Stage 1 may have thorns, so be aware.

Wildlife is abundant, deer especially.

GOOD LUCK!
