An interesting location on Eglingham Moor.
I remembered this site from a walk I did a few years ago but when I revisited the site to place this cache I was disappointed to see that weather or vandals (I suspect the latter) have damaged it. A romantic soul had carved an inscription on a stone outcrop in the middle of Eglingham Moor, but it is now partially defaced. It originally read "Kitty Lauder you are my eternal love. 1961 JEJ".
Original contents of cache:
* Pencils, sharpener and log book (obviously)
* Torch (which I got from the Blawearie cache)
* Mini rubber duck
* Bracelet/chain
* Old pre-decimal penny
* Fluorescent eraser
* Keyring
This is located on moorland which can get a bit boggy and windswept. Boots and sensible outdoor clothing are advisable.
Update (9th Dec '04) - I'd originally quoted the co-ordinates for this cache using the OSGB datum. I've updated them now, to use the WSG84 datum instead.
