Geocache Description:

Located in the hills above Deam Lake. This is one in a series of caches to bring you back to the roots of Geocaching.

This is my 150th Hide and I would rate it as one of my toughest. My trackback showed the hike to be 4.2 miles one way. Of course you may hike in any way you want. The hike for me started out as a 1-1/2 Terrain. The length brought the difficulty up. The terrain is as tough as you make it. You will pass through Tornado damage from the 2004 Storm that hammered Marengo and Borden. You usually see Tornado damage from a distance but on this hike you will experience close up. Summer folliage will make this a much more difficult find. Be sure to bring WATER and maybe a snack. I also brought along my hiking pole. The way I hiked in I had to cross one stream. Just as I finished hiding the AMMO BOX the clouds opened up and a Thunderstorm was on me like a flash. I was hounded on my hike back to my CRV by Lightning, Wind and torrential Rain. Be Smart and check the weather before you leave. I didn't. THE CONTAINER IS NOW A LOCK N LOCK BRING A FRIEND. THIS IS NOT A GOOD ONE TO DO ALONE.
