GeoCHAT 2009 – The Stampede

GeoCHAT is moving... to November! Let the Stampede begin!!!! The board of Geocaching Colorado (GCCO) has decided to move our annual meeting to the end of the year and to grow this to more that just a meet and greet. We have added a caching competition, more kids activities and geoPoker. You will still have the same amount of time for the meet and greet part, we have just wrapped it up with other activities to make this a true destination event for all Colorado cachers and those beyond our state to come have fun in Colorado.

AVAILABLE CACHES (40+)

Caching Competition - For those who want to compete in a 2-4 person team event, we will have 30 caches available with a terrain of 1.5 to a terrain of 3.5. This is our first year trying this so please provide constructive feedback. The caches will either have a symbol you need to write on your team card or a punch you need to use.

Park and Grabs - We will also provide 10 park and grab caches where the terrain might be 1 to 1.5. We will try to boost the difficulty on these caches, they will not be skirt lifters.

We provide download of the coords in a GPX files (through GSAK) on Saturday Morning.

Event Coin

We had a good time during the competition visiting, swapping hints, hunting for a cache that was mysteriously removed and then replaced and we didn't even use one phone a friend the entire day of hunting.
