Geocache Description:

Ammo-can located in the heart of Central Jersey. This is not a difficult hide, and should be easy to find once your collect the final coordinates.

I recently found this great spot in Central Jersey. Everything about this spot is typical Central Jersey. From the types of trees, soil, and elevation changes, to the type of wildlife. There may even be a black bear or two in the area so please keep an eye out. That said, please do not place food or smelly things in the cache.

In order to find this cache, you will need find the four caches on the edge of Central Jersey:

Each of these caches were placed to show off some of the odd and interesting places in Central Jersey. Also, the manner in which each cache is hidden is in some way inspired (or directly ripped off) of another Central Jersey cache.

Once you've collected all the clues from the four Central Jersey caches, you'll have the final coordinates for this cache. I was going to give suggested parking coordinates, but it wouldn't be Central Jersey if you could easily find parking. I will tell you this: there is legal parking, and it's right off of one of the Central Jersey roads everyone knows about . . . so don't just pull off to the side of the road and turn your 4-ways on.

Once you've parked, follow the trails to the cache. It's only 10 - 20 feet off the trail, so there is absolutely no need to bushwack. With that in mind, keep an eye out for mountain bikers on the trails while you are at the cache. Also keep an eye out for posion ivy and ticks. I encourage you to continue on the trail and loop around back to your cache-mobile.

Enjoy your hunt and tour of Central Jersey, and be sure to enjoy the raspberries on your walk to the cache.

As with all of my caches, there is no need to kick things over, rip up the environment, trespass, or do anything dumb or illegal. Please leave the environment intact when you are done, and if possible, please CITO.

Have fun, and thanks for caching with us!
