This is the first of two caches based in woods close to Beaford Mill. The circular path runs through the woods with the first section running alongside the river Torridge.
Really lovely walk that we have only recently discovered, so we decided to place a few caches. Driving from Beaford you will pass the entrance to the woods, carry on driving and on the otherside of the bridge is an area you can park.
Walk back over the bridge and take in the view up the river, then up the road to the entrance to the woods. Follow the path down through the woods and pick up this first cache. Follow the footpath up through the woods which will bring you to a non tarmac road. Once you meet the tarmac road follow this until you get to the footpath sign next an AM Jennings sign, this will bring you back down into the woods to Milling around Beaford No.2 and back to where you entered.
The cache is cylindrical about 8cm in diameter and 12cm deep.
When placed it contained the following
Party poppers to celebrate the FTF
Bouncy ball
Mini torch on key ring
Mini pig
Blankety blank logbook and pen
Happy Hunting.
