A good
excuse to engage 4WD. A weekend for camping & visiting caches
off the bitumen. Will be weaving a trail from North Brisbane to
somewhere around Kingaroy. Plan is to travel easy both days, set up
camp early & enjoy the camping.
For our
non-off road mates wishing to come, the camp site & all of the
caches are accessible by car. I just want to take the long
way.....
Hope to
see new & old faces.

Meeting point for Sat Morning. Northbound BP
Caboolture (WPT ZZ). Drive thru car park & meet near the
gazebo/bbq area near the exit. Would like to leave @ 8am.
Those coming up later or wanting to meet along the way,
that's ok. Please let me know.
Drive straight to Kingaroy, set-up camp (WPT
YY). The campsite itself has power (1 or 2 outlets) a pit
toilet & plenty of tank water. No showers as previously
stated. Am trying to find local public showers. All cooking
to be either gas or electric only. No bonfires are
allowed but we do have a steel washing bowl for a fire pit.
Won't actually light any fires if the conditions aren't
right.
After set-up & lunch, go out for an
afternoon of driving then back to camp. Saturday night is
just for sitting back & chewing the fat. Sunday is
4wd only, along 7 mile Diggings Track, pick-up any caches
that were missed on Saturday, pack up & mosey on home.
What a plan.
