Something to do on the way to the Mysterious Middle Finger Cache. It's also a fun alternative to hiking ALL THE WAY UP that goat path to the other cache. Really, who wants to hike up a trail like that on a hot day? We're sure you have better things to do. And besides, we're sadists who'd probably just put a decoy all the way up there anyway. This cache is for the 50%'ers who don't mind a hike up a nice hard packed trail, but steep rocky goat paths? That's for other people's knees!
This cache will take you to the "Grand Central" of the East/West Peak trail system, it's just off of the White Trail (the White Trail leads you around Hubbard Park and shoots off to take you up to Castle Craig via the steep, front face assault). It's in the middle of the horseshoe of the Blue Trail, one direction on the Blue takes you to West Peak via the Middle finger, the other direction take you to Castle Craig, this time entering from the back way along the Auto road. So whether you're just here for this cache or want to explore the park, you have all options available to you from this point.

There are two places to park, the longer hike but better parking area and the shorter hike (only by a little bit) and tricky parking conditions, perhaps only space for one car...
