Tejon Pass Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

LavaLizard: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If the cache owner wishes to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

At Tejon Pass Elevation 4170 ft. Cache & Dash. The bandit Joaquin Murietta was killed near here.

Cache is located at Tejon Pass, off the old road west of I-5, called Peace Valley Road (on some maps). Two access points to this road: (N/B) Gorman off-ramp, then north past the Hungry Valley SVRA; (S/B) Frazier Park off-ramp, then south to the top of the hill.
There's a bridge over the freeway--park off the east end of the bridge if you don't want to attract undue attention.
Do NOT cross any fence-lines!
Look for a camo'd water jug, close to a quart.
Marginally accessible in a chair--you'd probably need a grabber device. It's clipped to the fence, to keep it from washing away like the last one. Please replace as found.
There's an earthcache across the road--get a twofer here!
