Geocache Description:

This Cache will take you just off the the now beaten track of the R103 to an establishment as old as time its self.

The Nottingham Road Hotel or Notties as affectionately known to both locals , friends and many past revelers is a landmark in the Natal midlands and is renowned for its festive atmosphere, fine fare and hospitality. Recently refurbished, this historical site now boasts all of the modern comforts and warm service that you would expect from a country hotel, established in 1854. The area surrounding the village of Nottingham road is a community of mixed agriculture and tourism.
The hotel is situated on the growing midlands meander which is enjoyed an ever increasing numbers by walkers, riders, golfers, cyclists, fly fishers, bird watchers, conservationists, and meanderers.
