Geocache Description:

On this point there are some handsome oak trees and interesting rock formations. The cache is just hanging out enjoying the fantastic view, as I hope you will too.

Another cache in my Boulder Creek Road series that takes you on a tour of the East County on the little-used, but wonderful Boulder Creek Road that travels northwest of Descanso at N 32° 51.934 W 116° 37.998. This road can also be accessed from Pine Hills off Highway 79 near Julian.

At this location, the road is wide enough so you can pull over and walk the short distance to the cache. I hope you can take some time to sit and enjoy the view.

Because of the mountains and the oak trees, I had trouble getting good satellite reception at the cache. There is a white rock at N 32° 57.709 W 116° 39.580 where I could get a better reading. While standing on the rock looking at Eagle Peak to the northwest, the cache is nine paces behind you over your left shoulder.

There are several caches along the Boulder Creek Road many of which are included in this Bookmark List.
