The cache, dedicated to fabric and bead arts, is not at the posted coordinates, but
you don’t need any special knowledge or training to solve
this little puzzle, just imagination and observation. All the clues
are in plain sight.
At the posted location: Do you see what I see? Do you get
where are you going to hike now? Excellent.
At the Clue1 location: You know what you looking for now,
don’t you? Turn you back to the first clue and to the posted
coords, you should see Clue2 some 50 ft away. Go there.
At the Clue2 location: Continue beyond the second clue for
about the same distance as you’ve just covered from the 1st
clue, angling to the left. There will be a couple more minor hint
objects to guide you (let’s call then Clue2a and Clue2b), but
you probably wouldn’t even need any hints at this
point.
The cache is a plastic nut jar containing, among other trades, a
collection of fabric crafts items. Also included was Pig Ears the
Cach-U-Nut as a silent reminder how difficult it was for me to
get the crafts paraphernalia from my Fabric Arts Enthusiast. (You
can see what we really do with the stuff at the Salt Lake Spring
Doll & Teddy bear show next Saturday 4/24/04 … it
should range from totally traditional doll charms to totally
innovative mice-loving striped cats). Also priming the cache was
Rose Red Snow White, as a hint that this should be a good
destination for the kids.
GPS reception may be spotty beneath the steep slopes, but you
really won’t need any good precision on your quest. With the
right choice of a route, you should be able to avoid bushwhacking
and to stay on trails all the time. But the trail may be slippery
when wet, and sometimes flooded in mid-spring. For the description
of the trails of Neffs Canyon, look at the cache page of
now-archived Dark
Star.

Found on the second (and successful) attempt on Caver's "On the Edge" cache which is very nearby. It would appear that only the first clue item remains, but with the hint for the final and coaching from lesdubois, it was an easy find. Spectacular location! The final cache is in very good condition. Thanks!

When we got to the coordinates the clues made no sense.

The first clue was really cool. I had never noticed it before our first visit in March. We were clueless as to the other clues, but fortunately found the cache right away thanks to your clear hint. Thanks for taking us to another interesting location.

Found with ZeeJay. We visited clue 1 in the middle of March, but I left the cache description printout in the car. Between the snow on the ground and our faulty memories, we couldn't find it then.Today we pretty much went straight to it, although if clues 2, 2a, and 2b are still around we were completely oblivious to them. Thanks for the puzzle and the hide. TNLNSL.

I guess my imagination was working very well today. Elcase and I looked for the cache just as the sun was going down and could not find it. We had a great view of the Salt Lake Valley as the sun went down and the light came on. We'll have to start earlier in the day so that we have a little more time to look next time.
