Geocache Description:

About a half mile off of I-90 exit 22, park at the Preston Trailhead and walk/bike another half mile to the family-friendly cache.

Directions/Parking

Take exit 22 off of I-90.  On the north side of the interchange, head east toward Preston.  Take a left on 87th Place at around 0.4 miles from the cache.  Park on your right at the Preston Trailhead parking lot.  (N 47° 31.342', W 121° 55.999').

The Cache

Formerly a Burlington Northern branch to Snoqualmie, the Preston-Snoqualmie Trail heads north-northeast from the parking lot.  The paved multi-use trail is flat and wide.  Just beyond a seasonal drainage, a narrow short path leads to an unexpected sanctuary.   Herein you will find a quiet, cool (in the Summer) place to rest.  I expect you will also find the cache.  Please enjoy rather than trample the flora.  The route to the cache requires a bit of a scramble but no bushwhacking and it is in a classically obvious hiding place -- the 1.5 difficulty is due to the likelihood of poor satellite reception.
