CCC's Camp Self-Guided Tour Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

wordfried: Permanently disabling. This will always be a fine area to take some time to try to understand and appreciate what the CCC movement and thousands and thousands of young men have given us (whom we are slowing losing as age takes it's course). It is so easy to take things for granted, we owe much to these guys! Please continue to savor these guys' legacy, our doorway to the outdoors and so much more! -word fried

Geocache Description:

This is an educational story tour of Camp Roosevelt that ends with a Geocache AND a letterbox. It was developed to HONOR ALL THE YOUNG MEN WHO HAVE HELPED TO CREATE THE AREAS THORUGHOUT THE NATION that we are so fortunate to be able to enjoy! IMPORTANT: You will need to print out the related web page:
http://www.user.shentel.net/larman/shencotreasurehunt/camprooseveltgeolb.html

For the tour, read and follow the coordinates as indicated in the story. If you are in a hurry, you might be able to figure out a way to jump to the end after reading the clues. If you are a letterboxer and do not use a GPS unit, use a map to locate Camp Roosevelt, that is also close to the Lion's Tale Trail. You should be able to follow the story and tour if you are alert and go from described place to place in chronological order. # 1-10 follow a figure 8 pattern. Thereafter, it is more linear after crossing the road.
