Geocache Description:


This letterbox hybrid cache is at the listed coordinates. But, after you find the cache, you should take a few minutes to see the reason for this cache's placement.



If you head east on Pines Ave (which is across Rte 27 from the cache) for about .4 miles, you can see a bald eagle's nest (which is active as of this cache's listing). The nest is located just south of the road, up in a pine tree. You can see the nest from right by the "End of School Zone" sign located at 26 00.459, 080 25.616 (waypoint one on this cache).

As of the posting of this cache, there are currently 2 baby eagles in the nest and a pair of eagles taking care of them. It is truly an awesome sight!!

It is important that we try our best to not disturb them. Please also feel free to post any photos of them when you log your find (if you happen to take any).

The cache is a brown, sandwich sized lock-n-lock container and there is very little room for trades. Please make sure that you do not remove the inkpad or the stamp from the cache. Please replace the cammo so the cache doesn't get muggled.
