This cache is a small container about 3 inches in diameter and an
inch deep, hanging in a Quercus agrifolia. The cache is located
between Toe Stubber Trail and Antidote to Civilization. Google
Earth Plus clearly shows which Quercus agrifolia.
Here we are again; a small group of volunteer workers trying to
save this trail. We will be back in the spring of 2007 to make more
repairs to the trail and add water diversions to stave off erosion
damage. By placing this cache I hope to add interest in the trail
and get people closer to Campy’s Antidote to Civilization.
Views of the cliff face of Boney Mountain from here are
spectacular. Because our work projects are authorized, we are able
to drive to the trailhead. Spend a few hours working with us and
save about 8 miles of hiking.
Because of the distance and height gained, this cache is rated 3
stars to get close. Another half star was added for the final
assault. The cache has an AC aspect. It is hanging, but much higher
than i-hi. It is very easy to spot. When re-attaching please ensure
maximum magnetic surface contact. I can usually identify dormant
poison oak and did not see any. If poison oak leaves show up in the
growing season, please let me know.

December 19, 2009 by w_bovine (3776 found) Very amusing cache! I was somewhat baffled at first. I certainly had the right area, but just wasn't seeing anything. After a few minutes, however, I looked in a certain direction and...ah ha! Got it! Well done hide.

December 5, 2009 by dbir (1114 found) My favorite cache of the day. When I approached, I didn't particularly want to go to where my GPSr said was GZ, figuring it was probably just poor reception. But eventually I did go, and was rewarded with a really fun cache. It had me wandering around for awhile, but eventually I spotted a clue. TFTH!

May 25, 2009 by erik (7231 found) Good job on this one, thanks! Last one for today, on my loop through Serrano Valley from PCH. I always liked this trail, and do recall when it was initially on the Backbone Trail map, before rerouting through Danielson Ranch. The hardpacked sections of the path have been recently reworked, yea.

January 31, 2009 by GeoCraig (5594 found) I looked for a while, but figured that I would be safer staying on the trail. Didn't really look too hard. I was just getting too tired to do a good search. For the full story of my day's activities, please go to (visit link)

January 10, 2009 by OLdweeb (6738 found) I'm REALLY GLAD to have reached this cache on the way DOWN. Trying to go the other way would've been too much for me. TFTC
