Ta
get t’ headin fer Captain Crimson’s Treasure Chest,
ye must find all o’ t’ caches in t’ Pirates Ashore series.
Each o’ t’ caches stows a piece o’ t’
headin’ fer Captain Crimson’s Treasure Chest!
Aye now that ye have made port, tis time fer ye ta gather some
information about where t’ treasure chest o’ Captain
Crimson may have washed up! Some o’ t’ Crimson Crew has
survived an’, bein’ without a ship, they are stuck at
port without a way off this rock. Captain Crimson’s loyal
first mate, Cavity Face McCoy, be a survivor an’ I be sure
that no otharrr scallywag will be able ta aid ye more in yer quest
than he. It won’t be easy convincin’ t’ fool fer
t’ information ye seek howevarrr. Tis told that Cavity Face
McCoy be makin’ good o’ his time at port. He resides at
t’ place o’ t’ drink of
course…scorin’ bottles o’ rum and the occasional
salty wench. Maybe ye should stop by an’ pay him a
visit…
Avast! Ye make way to t’ stronghold fer a
drink…an’ more. Lookin’ around ye spot McCoy in
t’ corner bein’ none otharr than t’ pirate he be.
Speculation shows that he be takin’ all t’ fools around
him fer all they are worth with a game o’ dice. Not a game
fer t’ weak minded though. Tis t’ game o’
Liar’s Dice…
Liar’s Dice be a game about knowin’ when ta lie
an’ knowin’ when ta tell t’ truth. Ye do NOT want
ta be caught as a liar! T’ object o’ t’ game is
ta catch t’ otharrr scallywag lying before they catch you!
Each player has 6 dice that only they are able ta see. They are
rolled an’ then t’ true game begins…Each player
must bet a number an’ a quantity fer t’ dice they see.
The bet is based on t’ dice both players have, so t’
risk comes in guessin’ t’ correct combined number
an’ quantity o’ dice without going ovarrr an’
bein’ called a liar. T’ consecutive bets must be at
minimum one number or quantity higher than t’ last. Fer
example a player bids two 2’s. The next player can bid either
three 2’s or one 3, or four 5’s and so on. Remember
t’ minimum is one higher on either; It can be more if
desired. The game continues until one player calls t’ otharrr
a liar. Ye can call t’otharrr player a liar after they make
their bid, or ye can make anotharrr bid yerself. Ye must do one
o’ t’ otharrr. When a player calls t’ otharrr a
liar, both show their dice an’ if the one is indeed a liar,
they lose; If the dice show that t’ one was tellin’
t’ truth, t’ otharr who called them a liar loses!
Ye stand by ta regard a game between Cavity Face McCoy an’
anotharrr drunken scallywag. T’ stakes…10 Gold
Dubloons. T’ otharrr pirate makes t’ first
bid…
Pirate: Two 2’s
McCoy: Three 2’s
Pirate: One 4
McCoy: Three 5’s
Pirate: Four 5’s
McCoy: Five 5’s
Pirate: Liar!!!!
They both revealed their dice
an’…
McCoy: Ha! Ye be a fool! Now pay up ye
scoundrel. Any otharrr fools willin' ta take me on!? As long as I
got me drink, I ain't got no otharrr important piece ta
lose!
Ye: I will play ye, but I'm more interested
in information than money. T' headin' ye were on when t' wreck o'
Captain Crimson's ship occurred. Where be t' ship?
McCoy: Well I will tell ye that fer free ye
old bloke! It be at t' bottom o' t' ocean! Hahaha!I know what ye
seek an' I know it be all but lost ta t' depths. Thar be no means
fer me ta tell ye otharrrwise.
Ye: Well if that be t' case, ye wouldn't be
willin' ta play fer 100 Gold Dubloons then?...
Ye drop a bag on t' table full o' t' gold an' Cavity Face McCoy
stares in awe.
McCoy: Well lad lemme tell ye, I may know a
little more than I said before...
Ye: Well then, the stakes; if I win ye tell
me everything ye know about t' headin' o' t' ship an' if ye win, ye
get all o' this gold...Do we have an accord?
McCoy:...Take a seat lad, let's play a game
o' Liar's Dice...
Ye both take yer dice and shake em up. Ye slam t' cup on t' table
an' t' dice ye be left with ta play are t' followin'...
T' game begins. T' first bid be yers ta make...
Ye: One 1
McCoy: Two 1's>
Ye: One 2
McCoy: Two 3's
Ye: Three 3's
McCoy: Four 3's
Will ye call him a liar or make anotharrr bid?...
T' next part o' t' quest be Crimson Sky
