Geocache Description:

A multi-cache with a number of simple waypoints.

The Story

Old Man Willow finds his origins in J.R.R. Tolkiens “The Lord of The Rings”:
The hobbits have just left the Shire and are wondering through the Old Forest, a bit lost, when they come upon a river…
In the midst of it there wound lazily a dark river of brown water, bordered with ancient willows, arched over with willows, blocked with fallen willows, and flecked with thousands of faded willow-leaves.
It is here that they come upon Old Man Willow…
He lifted his heavy eyes and saw leaning over him a huge willow-tree, old and hoary. Enormous it looked, its sprawling branches going up like reaching arms with many long-fingered hands, its knotted and twisted trunk gaping in wide fissures that creaked faintly as the boughs moved.
You can read more about this mean old tree in “The Fellowship of the Ring”, part one of “The Lord of the Rings”.

Cache, Clues and Codes

The cache is hidden in a Willow tree. The origional waypoints were also hidden in Willow trees but we're lost. Now you'll have to dodge golf balls. You will need a New Testament Bible to crack the code at the waypoint. To get you ready for it, you will need to look in Luke. Any language Bible will do.

To find the chapter you will need, go to the listing coordinates. You'll need to find four yellow signs. They're numbered in series and it will be very easy to figure out what that is. Add five to the last value in the series to get the chapter number. Please note that the listing coordinates are for an area, not a single spot, the more wondering around you do, the more you'll see and the more fun you'll have.

S25°45.178' is not where the cache is, but add the number in Luke x verse y, where x is the number revealed above and y is the first number in the series. Simple stuff.

E028°14.abc is pretty useless as coordinates, unless you:
Replace a with the yth number from Luke x verse 13 plus the third number in the sign series. You're almost there.
Replace b with the second number in Luke x verse 13.
Replace c with the sum of the second and third numbers in the series.

Getting There

The Cache is hidden on the University of Pretoria Sports Grounds, LC de Villiers. You will have to go through a boom gate to get in, but don't need to pay anything. Note that sometimes special events may hinder entrance. There is ample parking, near both the cache and the waypoints, and there is also a resturant in the main building. The gates open at 06h00 and close at 22h00 (Thanks to Bjbez for this info).
