This little town has a fabulous Watermelon Thump festival every
year in June, and one of the big events is the crowning of the
Thump Queen and her court. And for the girls and their families in
Luling, the title of Thump Queen is something they will treasure
all their lives, and they will ALWAYS be royalty in their
community.
Unfortunately, my little hometown didn't have a Queen of
anything, so I never got to be one. Therefore, I've decided that
it's high time I get crowned Queen, and it REALLY DOESN'T MATTER of
WHAT. But since we geocachers tend to hang around poison ivy a lot,
and since there's probably nobody else claiming that title, I
hereby declare mself a candidate for Poison Ivy Queen.
A log in this cache is a vote for me for Poison Ivy Queen! I'm
currently running unopposed, and I've just closed the nomination
period! I'll let you know how the voting is going periodically.
