Cammo container. BYOP, Walking Stick and Camera!
Wow. I was out driving around on the backside of Shekinah and
decided to ride down Rocky Branch road. As I was driving, I noticed
a gate. There were no signs, no sign of life. just a gate and a
trail. So, I grabbed my latest stealth cache, and gps and started
walking. This is a really cool area. You can tell that someone used
to live here a long time ago. There's no house, nor barns. Just a
feeling. A lot of people lived here on this spot for a long time.
The trail, which appears to be an old road bed, is still quite
obvious and appears to go right on to the top of the hill. I'm not
in the greatest shape, and decided not to go the entire way to the
top, lest I have a heart attack and die in the wilderness. That'd
suck. So, when I decided I needed to stop and not push myself any
further, I found a nice place to hide my stealth cache and shot
coords 3x. The average is shown above. Each coord was shot with
less than 20' accuracy on the Garmin Legend. Enjoy the walk, and
beware of muggles! Also, when you get to the bottom of the trail,
look down. There are turnips all over the place! It obviously used
to be a garden or maybe even a farmers field, but it's just gone to
seed, and been untended for what looks like decades. There are no
signs anywhere to be seen here. Just a trail into the woods. Enjoy,
and be careful! There are all the standard hazards to be found on
this little trek. From Muggles to briars to snakes and ticks. Don't
forget to take a PEN!!! Check out this link:
