The cache is a thin, regular size plastic container wrapped in a
Swedish caching-industry-standard green Systembolaget plastic bag.
From the start it contained a logbook, 2 pencils and some other
things that are nice to have.
Rådan was initially a croft and part of Kymlinge and has been
known since 1599. In the late 18th century and early 19th century
it is the home of the foreman of Ulriksdal. Around the middle of
the 18th century Rådan develops into a small well-managed country
estate and serves as a summer home for wealthy Stockholm families.
In 1885 the farm was bought by the Axel and Sofia Alm Foundation.
The foundation conducted a school for “orphaned and
defenceless children”. The huge brick school house was built
in 1890. In 1944 parts of the Swedish Army extant unit, The Life
Guards, moved in and then in 1970 the military were replaced by the
Police Academy. Having undergone extensive renovation, the house is
today the branch office for the exploitation of the Silverdal area.
