This cache has been archived.

The Seanachai: Greetings from Geocaching.com,

While we feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you for a reasonable amount of time, we cannot do so indefinitely. In light of the lack of communication regarding this cache it has been archived to free up the area for new placements. If you haven’t done so already, please pick up this cache or any remaining bits as soon as possible. If you are in the process of replacing or repairing your cache please e-mail me in response to this archival and, if possible, I will unarchive your cache.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute in the past and I am looking forward to your continued contributions to the sport of Geocaching.

Geocache Description:

Welcome to another of my random cache series. The B.T.B 202 (B.urn T.hrough B.atteries) will consist of different types and sizes of caches. The difficulty and terrain will also vary from cache to cache. You will have micros, smalls, regular and large containers. Park-and-grabs to hike-and-finds. Multi’s and Puzzle Caches will also be included in the series. The series will be a total of two hundred and two caches. I am launching this series on May 31, 2007. I hope you will all be entertained with these caches. I will definately have fun placing them.

A few words of fine print on these cache listings:

1. Safety is priority and you should always be aware of your surroundings. Here in the south you should expect poison plants, thorns, snakes, ticks, bees, bears, muggles and other various wildlife related obstacles.

2. Muggles muggles everywhere so your best stealth is ALWAYS REQUIRED.

3. Rehide the container as-good-as or better-than you found it.

4. Did I mention “MUGGLES”?

5. If a cache is unobtainable due to muggle infestation then please come back for it on a future attempt. I love hiding caches...not replacing them.

6. Please read the cache page thoroughly BEFORE hunting. I will provide important information regarding the hide: access times, do’s and don't’s, container specifics (sometimes), and general facts that will aid in your find.

7. Enjoy the hunt...you are not getting paid for it so don't turn it into work...the only reward is a smiley and the satisfaction of finding it...
I am taking this opportunity to introduce some of my own four star evil into the Tri Cities. This one is in the spirit of some other difficult micro caches in the area. I have enjoyed making three or four trips back to hunt some of the really "crazy"/ASP "Vicious"/DM and "Shady"/WM micros...ACTUALLY I have not enjoyed making the return trips back at all...I was lying about that...and I have wished harm on all of these cache owners at times for these monstrously hard to find caches...I guess some might enjoy the headache they get from a lengthy search and the thought of a DNF failure. I despise impossible hides and yet I find myself in the middle of the night making these ugly little nightmarish devices. This sign only micro was slated to be a hard three star difficulty however, while searching for a suitable location, I came across this area and had a much more wicked idea of how to arrange this one. I am not providing a description of the container nor will I be giving a hint. I will tell you that the container is approximately three inches wide and three inches tall at its widest points. For an added irritation, light tree cover may play with your GPSr signal a bit. Coords are taken from a 2100 average. Remember to bring a pen to sign the log. Muggles may be present at times making this one impossible to hunt...this only adds to the challenge. Due to the location and nature of this hide, please rehide this one as well as or better than you found it. This will insure that it will have staying power and it will also make the next hunter "earn their four stars". I hope you enjoy this extremely frustrating and horribly devious micro as much as I had altering it and placing it. Scream, curse, stamp your feet, throw a tantrum...if it makes you feel better...but it will not help you find it... The weekend following this cache placement, this nightmare was hunted by several able cachers. As of July 29, 2007 9:21pm, I am changing this one from a four star difficulty to a four and a half star difficulty... It deserves it! Thanks to those die hards who made multiple attempts over the weekend and ultimately proved that this one is a 4.5 star devious rating. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE HINTS OR SPOILERS IN YOUR LOGS! I DO NOT WANT TO DELETE ANYONE, HOWEVER, IF YOU DO, I WILL BE FORCED TO REMOVE THE LOG TO PROTECT THE SPIRIT AND INTEGRITY OF THE CACHE. ALSO, I WILL BE CHECKING THE LOG SHEET OFTEN SO PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOUR NAME IS ON IT BEFORE POSTING A FIND! AGAIN, IF YOU DO NOT SIGN THE LOG, I WILL BE FORCED TO REMOVE YOUR FIND. If you hunt this one and do not find it, please post a DNF log for every seperate visit. I would like to keep track of it all.

UPDATE AS OF AUGUST 04, 2007 This hide location has been moved due to the fact that a church, which is across the street from the original location, decided to encroach upon county property. I will be placing a call to the county offices to report their plans to fence in a public property. In the mean time, I have relocated the hide to a new location. Due to the way previous hunters searched for this one, I have decided to give them a place that they can employ their “cache hunting tactics” without issue. I am leaving the original listing unaltered for reviewing purposes however you should read this update in its entirety. The new location has a new container. I had to recreate the old one in order to leave it out while placing the new one. The new container is almost identical to the original one. The new hide is identical to the original one. There are some new issues that should be considered when hunting at this new location. Muggles are often at this location. You can still hunt this one when muggles are about as they are usually busy fishing and most will not pay any attention to your activities. The parking area is mostly dirt and after rainfall it tends to be very muddy. There are some potholes and deep puddles that you want your vehicle to avoid. You will get stuck if you drive into a deep mud hole. There is parking in the gravel area along the roadside where you will not encounter these obstacles. The area is ALWAYS in need of some CITO so please help out with this. The terrain rating has been elevated for this new location. This area is public accessible at any time of the day or night. I have not been as generous with the coordinate averaging as I was with the first hide. I had originally given a 3.9’ accuracy reading and now I am giving a 10’ accuracy reading. The tree cover has also multiplied tremendously so you should also take that into consideration ….And you thought that you had already faced the nightmare… now you realize that it has only just begun. Happy hunting this one!
