Lassie, get help! Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

Dan-oh: Alas, it looks like little Timmy is a goner this time. WP1 is entirely gone and WP2 has been repeatedly muggled. Time's up on this cache. Thanks to all that have visited.

Geocache Description:

Lassie, get help!
Timmy's fallen into the well!

I thought about making this some sort of an educational multi that talked about well water, drinking water, pumps and the like but decided to just do something fun. I ended up with a 4-stage multi-cache that takes you on a fairly easy stroll through Escondido's Kit Carson Park. By the time you complete your walk today, you will have seen an old capped wellhead, an agricultural run-off pond, and some old pump valves. Sorry, no Collie dogs today.

Boring to anyone other than a landscaper or irrigator? Perhaps but then you need to go past these to complete the cache. To keep it interesting, you'll need to look pretty close at each stage to find it. Stage two is sure to give most people fits so take your time with it. The actual cache is a 20 cal ammo can that is well camouflaged. (insert standard cacher plea to hide it as well as you found it) The location may attract the beer drinking type of muggle that would surely steal the cache.

Spring update:
It looks like the mosquitoes are out in force, especially near water. You may want to visit during the warmer part of the day or apply some repellent. Be sure to tie a rope around the small kids as some have been carried off by exceptionally large mosquitoes.

Spring/Summer update:
With the weather getting warmer, the park is attracting more visitors. One waypoint near a picnic ground probably isn't accessible on weekends without compromising it. Avoid the summer muggles by hitting WP2 early in the day or during the week.

1-06 update:
I've changed the size listing to "small" to reflect a different final container. I guess a big container was too tempting for the muggles.
