Near a unique secret garden on the Stanford campus. Closest parking is Quarry Road.
Not many people know about this very special garden, originally planted in the 1880's by the Stanfords. The garden is 45 paces west of the cache. While you're there, take a walk around and find three different memorials to members of the Stanford family. If you would like to know more about the history of the garden, use www.google.com and enter "Stanford", the kind of the plants you see in the garden, and "garden".
Volunteers are restoring this garden the third Saturday of each month, so you might have some company.
The cache is a rubbermaid container about the size of a long shoe box and originally contained: a dvd movie, a bottle of bath oil, a hockey puck, a Star Trek book, a VHS movie, a mini skateboard, a log book, and pens.
6/26/04 I added two dvd movies, two music cds and two music cassettes--all new and still in original plastic wrap. Be sure to trade items of similar value. It would be great if you would take a dvd and leave a dvd, for example.
