BTTHAL é uma equipa, formada por um conjunto de colegas e
bons amigos, funcionários do HAL (Hospital Amato Lusitano) de
Castelo Branco, profissionais de Enfermagem da (UCIP) Unidade de
Cuidados Intensivos Polivalente e da Equipa VMER/INEM (Viatura
Médica de Emergência e Reanimação do INEM) deste Hospital. O grupo
tem por base a prática de BTT, no entanto abraça uma variedade de
actividades desportivas outdoor, como é o caso do
Geocaching. Possuidores de dois blog’s na web

, aconselhamos a visita dos mesmos onde são
relatadas e documentadas com fotografia as diversas actividades da
equipa.
BTTHAL is a team, formed by a number of colleagues and good
friends, officials of the HAL (Hospital Amato Lusitano) of Castelo
Branco, professionals in the Nursing (UCIP) Intensive Care Unit of
and Team VMER / INEM (Emergency Medical Car) of this Hospital. The
group is based on the practice of mountain biking, however embraces
a variety of outdoor sporting activities, such as
Geocaching. We have two web blog's

are advised to visit them where they are reported and
documented with photography the various activities of the
team.
Nesta lápide dá-se conta que D. Martim Afonso de Melo, Bispo da
Guarda, ao reconstruir a Sé, teve que pagar a maior parte da
despesa do seu bolso. Como a Comarca não pagou, o prelado
deixou-lhe as contas espetadas na parede.
A ausência de decorativismo começa assim na fachada desornamentada,
contando com apenas três portais onde somente o central é encimado
com um frontão trabalhado, duas janelas de varanda e um nicho onde
S. Miguel surge a pisar um dragão. Mais acima surge um óculo com
vitrais e duas torres meãs.
O interior é igualmente pobre e austero. Tem apenas uma nave que é
separada da capela-mor por um belo arco renascentista, no fecho do
qual está o brasão de armas do dito Bispo. Ao segundo bispo da
diocese de Castelo branco, Frei Vicente Ferrer da Rocha
(1782-1814), se deve a construção (em estilo barroco), dos dois
corpos laterais, com os quais foi aumentado o templo: a Sacristia
Grande e a Capela do Santíssimo Sacramento.
A Sé também se denomina Igreja de S. Miguel (o santo do nicho),
porque esse seria o templo primitivo, provavelmente romano-gótico,
sobre o qual se ergueu o presente templo, sendo ainda visiveis no
pátio traseiro da igreja, alguns vestigios funerários
primitivos.
CATHEDRAL OF CASTELO BRANCO:
This is the most poorest cathedral on the whole country. Located
between two rich episcopacy - Portalegre and Guarda, was the seat
of episcopacy by a brief and short period until encompassed in the
Episcopate of Portalegre which remains today. This probably is a
XIII or XIV century church, and was much ruined in XVII century. It
was rebuilt in the last quarter of the seventeenth century, but due
to lack of means to make a monumental work, it was almost devoid of
ornaments. It is amazing therefore, the lack of decoration, the
bluntness of the stone clean, The facade is a huge constrution of
stone, emblematic of poverty of the community, testified in a stone
preached on the right wall.
In this stone gives up account that D. Martim Afonso de Melo,
Bishop of Guarda, to rebuild the cathedral, he had to pay the bulk
of the expenditure of your pocket. As the local autority not paid,
the bishop left the accounts grabed on the wall.
The absence of decoration begins in the front, with only three
portals where only the center is topped with a fronton worked, two
windows, balconies and a niche where S. Miguel is steping a dragon.
More above there is a round window with glass windows and two
towers.
The interior is equally poor and austere. It has only one ship
that is separate from chapel-mor by a beautiful arc Renaissance, in
the closing of which is the coat of arms of Bishop said. The second
bishop in this episcopacy, Frei Vicente Ferrer Rocha (1782-1814),
is due to construction (in baroque style), the two bodies side,
with which the temple has been increased: the Sacristia and the
Chapel of the Blessed Sacramento.
The Cathedral also called Church of St. Miguel (the holy of
niche), because that would be the primitive temple, probably Roman,
Gothic, which was erected this temple and is still visible in the
rear courtyard of the church, some traces of primitive funeral
artifacts.

some more caches nearby, but the monument and the garden deserves a
visit!
