By Gainford Wood Traditional Cache
hipovert: The area has become a local fly tipping area and the cache has been lost. It is no longer the nice country spot that it was when first discovered. I will try and find somewhere better is the same sort of area.

A micro using a film cannister. Parking next to the cache but may be soft. Log only in the cache
Possibly a cache n dash for the A77 commuting community but also a convenient location if you are out for a short walk or cycle. The cache can be approached from north or south and there is room to park off the road right by the cache. The road itself should be fairly quiet but it is a country lane so take care and park sensibly also check that the parking isnt too soft.
Whilst you are there it is worth walking a little way down the road to the south to the top of the slight rise that you can see from the cache. From here on a clear day you have about a 200 degree panorama from the windmills at Whitlees in the East across to Arran in the West.
