Geocache Description:

A few access points to the river for fishing, and stone stairs leading into the water.

This is just a short drive up the river, and should be an easy find, however I belive I have it hidden well, you be the judge. I fished from this area when I was younger and we had a few parties when I was slightly older and the fishing just didn't seem as important. There are lots of old and twisted trees to check out along the short trails in the area and a island a short ways out. If you go up river from the cache you will see the stairway to the river, at least it looks that way to me. I have no idea if the fishing is any good now, but I found some tackle around when I was setting up the cache so you may want to bring a pole and give it a try. Watch out for muggles, they can be anywhere in the area. The area is now closed from 10pm to 6am, so plan your hunt accordingly. This is a Cache In Trash out location if you are so inclined. The cache has a Log Book, Pencil, Sharpener, Geo Statement, our card, and some small trade items for the kids, with room for a few more.

With over 40 finds on this cache and it being virtually out in the open it was muggled around the 28th of May 2005. They took everything but the cache container, luckily for us. We have moved the cache further into the brush in the hopes that it will not be so easily found. However this does make it somewhat harder for you to find. Happy caching… and good luck…
