Please join us in giving
them a warm, Welsh welcome!
How better to show our
foreign friends the hospitality of the South Wales Geocachers than
to pick them up from the airport, whizz them across country and
force pub grub and beer upon them?
We're returning to the scene
of the crime (where Mrs V-H broke Mr V-H's ankle!) for this one -
hopefully there will be a little less snow and ice this
time!
All are more than welcome so
please, please come along if you haven't been to a South Wales
event and join us in telling tall tales of caching in our little
corner of paradise, in the company of like-minded
nutters!
We will be meeting at the
Friendly Fox, 33 Caerphilly Road, Newport, NP10 8LW from 7.00PM,
Thursday 3 June 2010.
Details of the Fox are
here.
Please indicate on your 'will
attend' whether you will be eating and if so how many of you there
will be so that we can do our utmost to ensure the food doesn't run
out!
Please ensure that you fill in a
card for the First to Find draw (for those who like that sort of
thing!).
There will, of course, be the
Logbook to sign and hopefully a few trackables to discover, drop
off and/or pick up.
There will also be a raffle or
auction (we've not yet decided!) for a SPECIAL
PRIZE to raise a bit of money for the South Wales Mega
Event in 2011.
Children are more
than welcome - but the Landlord asks that they make their
way home after 9PM.
Phew! Not a mention of the
war, the World Cup of beach towels anywher..... oh,
drat!
Many thanks to Lefthanded99
for the picture of the Friendly Fox which was blatantly 'borrowed'
from Flickr...
